Stephansdom: The heart and landmark of the city
Stephansdom is considered to be the landmark of Vienna. What is particularly impressive is the 136-metre high south tower and the roof covered in colourful tiles. Inside there are two gems: the “Dienstbotenmuttergottes” and the high altar. It takes around half an hour to walk here from H+ Hotel Wien, and with public transport it will take you 20 minutes.
Hofburg: powerful residence and riding school
The imperial Hofburg Palace in Vienna is now home to the national library and various museums, such as the Imperial Apartments, the Sissi Museum and the Treasury. In addition to the palace garden, the famous Spanish Riding School is also well worth a visit. You can get here from H+ Hotel Wien in around 20 minutes with the tram.
Prater: Amusement park with tradition
The Prater in Vienna is a recreation area with numerous sports opportunities in Leopoldstadt. The famous amusement park there with its various rides and an impressive Ferris wheel, which is one of the city’s landmarks. From H+ Hotel Wien, it takes around 25 minutes to get here using the bus and underground.
Naschmarkt: wander around, eat and shop
The Naschmarkt which starts at Karlsplatz is the biggest market in Vienna. Fresh food and international specialities are sold here, bistros and restaurants invite you to come and enjoy what they have to offer. There is an antique market and flea market here every Saturday.
