Registration

How do I sign up for HotMiles?

Download the free H-Hotels.com app in the Google Play Store or the App Store and register for HotMiles. Alternatively, you can also sign up on our website. Please note that you will not have full access to HotMiles until you have downloaded the H-Hotels.com app.

Why should I sign up for HotMiles? 

As a HotMiles member, we reward your loyalty. Registration is free. You can earn valuable HotMiles with every Euro spent, which you can redeem for free stays and attractive additional services. HotMiles also offers exclusive status benefits. The more you stay with us, the higher your status and the more benefits you will enjoy.

Can families collect HotMiles together on one account?

If you’d like to have your family members‘ HotMiles credited to your account, simply pay for all goods and services used by your family together upon check out. Don’t forget to have your QR-Code scanned by reception. This way, you can be sure to collect HotMiles for the whole family. Overnight stays which you personally took advantage of, count towards your HotMiles status. That means, any overnight stays of your family members do not count towards your status.

Protecting your personal data is very important to us. Your information is secure with us, as we do not sell or pass it on to third parties outside the HotMiles program. My Account

Where can I find my HotMiles ID?

You can find your personal HotMiles ID online, as well as through our mobile app. Simply log in to your account, online or through the H-Hotels.com app. Online your HotMiles ID can be found in the section “My ID”. The HotMiles ID is found right underneath your personal QR-Code.

Where can I update my personal details? 

You can update your personal information through your HotMiles profile. Simply log in to the H-Hotels.com app, and select “My Profile” from the main menu (≡) to update your personal details. Alternatively, you can log in to your HotMiles account online and update your details by clicking on “My Profile” in the main menu.

Please note that you cannot update your name and date of birth online or through the app. To do this please contact our service center via e-mail address [email protected].

When will I receive my HotMiles card? 

In order to protect the environment, HotMiles does not provide plastic cards. With the H-Hotels.com app, you will always have your personal QR-Code for collecting HotMiles. You can download the app for free in the Google Play Store or the App Store.

How can I delete my HotMiles account? 

Log in to the H-Hotels.com app and select “My Profile” from the main menu (≡). Then select “Delete HotMiles account”. Alternatively, you can log in to your HotMiles account online and delete your account by selecting “My Profile” from the main menu.

Please note that cancellation of a HotMiles membership will immediately forfeit any HotMiles points collected, and cannot be reversed.

How can I sign up for the HotMiles newsletter? 

Log in to the H-Hotels.com app and select “My Profile” from the main menu (≡) and check the box marked “Sending information and offers via e-mail”. Alternatively, you can also log in to your account online, select “My Profile” from the main menu and check the box marked “Sending information and offers via e-mail”.

Can I transfer my HotMiles to another account? 

No, HotMiles cannot be transferred to another account. However, you may use your HotMiles to book accommodations for third parties.

What should I do if I forget my password?

You can reset your password if you forget it. Open the H-Hotels.com app and click "Forgot Password" on the login screen. You will then receive a link to the email address you have provided in order to create a new password. Alternatively, you can request a new password here.

Where can I view my current HotMiles account?

In both the H-Hotels.com app and online, you will find your current HotMiles account under "Status" in the main menu. This is displayed in the lilac rectangle. Please note that the account is not always up-to-date, and it can take up to 5 business days until HotMiles are credited to your account.


App

Where can I download the App for HotMiles? 

You can download the H-Hotels.com app in the Google Play Store or in the App Store. 

Why should I download the H-Hotels.com app? 

Only the H-Hotels.com app gives you direct access to your HotMiles ID and your personal QR-Code, so you can easily and immediately collect points every time you stay with us. The H-Hotels.com app also gives you exclusive access to your personal benefit coupons that will allow you to collect extra HotMiles. The app is free and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the App Store.


Status

How can I achieve a higher status? 

Your HotMiles status depends on the number of nights you have personally stayed in participating hotels. You will receive Silver status upon registration, which is valid indefinitely. If you have spent at least 10 nights in our hotels within the last 12 months, you will then be upgraded to Gold status. Platinum status will be awarded if you have spent a minimum of 20 nights during the last 12 months. We will check your status and update if necessary every time you check out.

What are the status benefits? 

There are a range of different benefits to be enjoyed depending on your status. An overview of the different status benefits can be found here.

Can I use the HotMiles benefits and collect PAYBACK points or Miles & More miles?

No, using the HotMiles benefits is only possible if you do not want to earn PAYBACK points or Miles & More miles.

If I pay for several rooms, do they all count towards my status? 

No, only overnight stays which you personally took advantage of, count towards your HotMiles status. However, if you pay for multiple rooms, you can collect HotMiles for the entire bill.

How long is my status valid?

The status of Silver participants is unlimited. Gold status participants retain their status for 1 year. Platinum status is maintained for two years. If you do not requalify as a Gold or Platinum participant within this period, you will be given the status you have earned during the last 12 months. If you satisfy the status qualification criteria within the 1 or 2 year period, your status will automatically be extended for another 1 or 2 years.

Which overnight stays count towards my status? 

In principle, all overnight stays paid for in full upon check out count towards your status. This excludes any overnight stays paid for with a voucher.


Collecting

How do I collect HotMiles? 

In order to quickly and easily collect HotMiles, download the free H-Hotels.com app in the Google Play Store or the App Store. In the app you will find your personal HotMiles ID in the form of a QR-Code. Simply have reception scan this code upon check out and your HotMiles will be credited to your account.

If you’d like to take advantage of a personal benefit coupon to earn extra HotMiles, remember to have your coupon code as well as your QR-Code scanned at reception when you check out. Your personal benefit coupons can be found under “My Coupons” in the menu of the app. Alternatively, there are paper coupons available.

Can I collect HotMiles for multiple rooms, if I pay for them together?

Yes, when you pay for multiple rooms together and have your personal QR-Code scanned at reception upon check out, you will collect HotMiles for every room. Please note however, that only overnight stays which you personally took advantage of count towards your HotMiles status. That means, any overnight stays of your fellow travelers do not count towards your status.

Where can I see how many HotMiles I have collected?

In both the H-Hotels.com app and online, you will find your current HotMiles account under "Status" in the main menu. This is displayed in the lilac rectangle. Please note that the account is not always up-to-date, and it can take up to 5 business days until HotMiles are credited to your account.

Which overnight stays can I collect points on? 

In principle, you can collect HotMiles on all overnight stays paid for in full upon check out. This excludes any overnight stays paid for with a voucher as well as non-deductible services and products.

When will my HotMiles be credited to my account? 

Both your base as well as your extra HotMiles will be credited about 5 business days after check-out.

How long are my HotMiles valid?

For guests with silver status, unredeemed HotMiles expire as of 31 December of the year following the acquisition of HotMiles. (For example, HotMiles collected in June 2019 would expire at the end of December 31, 2020.) For guests with gold status, unredeemed HotMiles expire as of 31 December of the third year following the acquisition of HotMiles. There is no expiration of HotMiles for guests with platinum status, as long as platinum status exists. In the event of a change of status, the expiry dates for the new status apply.

Can HotMiles be credited retroactively? 

A subsequent credit note of HotMiles is unfortunately not possible.

What is the difference between HotMiles, Extra HotMiles and Status HotMiles?

HotMiles, Extra HotMiles and Status HotMiles are listed individually in your HotMiles account:

  • HotMiles describes the basic incentives.
  • Extra HotMiles are the HotMiles you have collected by redeeming coupons or by taking part in special offers.
  • Status HotMiles are the HotMiles you collect as part of your status bonus.

Collecting HotMiles in foreign currencies

For transactions in other foreign currencies, the amount is first converted into Euros at the published exchange rate 

  • The current exchange rate for Hungarian Forint is: 1 € = 400 HUF

Redeeming

How do I redeem my HotMiles? 

In the H-Hotels.com app or online, you can redeem your HotMiles by selecting “Status” from the main menu, and then selecting “Redeem My HotMiles”. Here you can redeem your HotMiles by selecting and booking your desired overnight stay, subject to availability.

Can I cancel an overnight stay booked with HotMiles? 

Whether you can cancel an overnight stay booked with HotMiles depends on the booked rate. There are cancellable and non-cancellable rates. If you have booked a non-cancellable rate, and do not honour your booking, the redeemed HotMiles will not be reinstated. The same applies to cancellable rates, should you fail to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.
