Mirabell Palace – Baroque ensemble with garden

Just a few steps from the Hyperion Hotel Salzburg to the baroque Mirabell Palace, which – along its gardens – is a World Heritage Site. Worth seeing are above all the State Hall of the National Library of Austria, the two-storey “Georg-Raphael-Donner-Stiege” and the castle chapel. However, the highlight of the complex is the Mirabell Gardens with its various departments, the Orangery and the Palm House.

Salzburg Cathedral – Episcopal splendour in the “DomQuartier”

The monumental, baroque Salzburg Cathedral with its mighty dome, the marble facade and the two towers is visible from afar. The impressive building, in which Mozart was christened, is part of Salzburg’s “DomQuartier”, which also includes the “Alte Residenz” and several museums. It is about a quarter of an hour’s walk from the Hyperion Hotel Salzburg.
