Kaiserbäder

Bright facades, fine zinc-plated balconies and Wilhelminian style architecture are still a trademark of the three “Kaiserbäder” (emperor’s baths) Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin. Georg Bernhard von Bülow founded the first guesthouse at the beginning of the 19th century for the good company from Berlin. The subsequent guests included princes, writers, manufacturers and of course, the Emperor.

Usedom is considered one of the sunniest areas of the country. And where better to enjoy the sun, than on a beautiful beach. Whether for hikes, collecting shells, horse riding or swimming – one a length of approximately 40 kilometres, Usedom mostly offers picture-postcard sandy beaches with a width of up to 70 metres. The mostly flat transition into the water allows families with small children to make the most of this bathing fun.
